Cape Dolphin [Stenella attenuata]
Description
Cape dolphins are energetic, streamlined swimmers that can appear suddenly in open-water dives or along coastal drop-offs. Divers may notice them as quick, darting shapes that move in coordinated groups, sometimes riding the water’s surface or following the same route through the blue. When they come close, their sleek bodies and fast, playful motion can be thrilling to watch.
