Description
Japanese sea lions are curious, agile swimmers that divers may encounter near rocky coasts and kelp-rich areas. Underwater, they often glide through the water with smooth, powerful strokes, occasionally popping into view to investigate divers. Their sleek bodies and playful behavior can make for memorable close-up sightings—just keep a respectful distance.
