Indian Sand Tiger [Carcharias tricuspidatus]
Description
Often seen cruising slowly over sandy bottoms, the Indian sand tiger has a distinctive, slightly “grinning” look with prominent teeth. Divers may spot it resting in the sand or hovering just above the substrate, sometimes with its mouth slightly open as it patrols for prey.
