Caribbean Hammerhead [Sphyrna gilberti]

Description

Divers in the Caribbean region may encounter the Caribbean Hammerhead as a graceful, compact shark that moves along reef slopes and near sandy bottoms. Its head shape is unmistakable, and it may circle slowly or hover briefly as it searches for prey.
