Stonogobiops nematodes [Stonogobiops nematodes]

Description

This small goby is frequently seen near sandy or rubble patches adjacent to reefs, where it may retreat into burrows. Divers can spot it watching from the entrance—then quickly disappearing and reappearing—often with a characteristic, alert posture that makes it easy to follow underwater.
