Rhinopias eschmeyeri [Rhinopias eschmeyeri]
Description
Like its weedy relatives, this scorpionfish relies on extreme camouflage to disappear into rubble and rocky habitats. Divers may find it by noticing subtle movement or a hint of texture where algae and debris collect. When it’s finally in view, its broad, flattened body and cryptic coloration make it a master of “almost invisible” underwater life.
