Greater Blue-ringed Octopus [Hapalochlaena lunulata]
Description
One of the most dramatic sights in shallow water, this octopus can display vivid blue rings when it feels threatened. Divers may encounter it in reef holes or under ledges, where it can be surprisingly small and well-camouflaged—until its warning colors flash.
