Common Sunfish [Mola mola]

Common Sunfish
Description

Common sunfish are among the ocean’s most unusual-looking visitors—big, flat-bodied, and surprisingly graceful. Divers may see them gliding slowly near the surface or descending into deeper water, sometimes with a gentle “rolling” motion as they turn. Their size and calm demeanor make them unforgettable when they pass overhead or drift into your dive range.
