Yellowhead Jawfish [Opistognathus aurifrons]
Description
Yellowhead jawfish are small, bold fish that often live in burrows in sandy or rubble bottoms. Divers may spot them popping out to watch, then quickly retreating into their homes when something approaches. With a bit of patience, you can catch their alert, head-up behavior as they hover near the entrance.
