Fenestrate Miter [Pterygia fenestrata]
Description
Divers may spot this miter snail as a slender, shell-like shape that stands out against sand and rocky bottoms. Its shell often looks finely patterned, giving it a “windowed” or fenestrated appearance that’s especially noticeable in good light. With patience, you can sometimes find it tucked into crevices or resting near the substrate.
