Buccinum fragile [Buccinum fragile]
Description
As its name suggests, this whelk can look delicate compared with sturdier-looking snails, yet it’s still a capable bottom crawler. Divers may find it resting or slowly moving on the seafloor, where its shell and posture make it stand out against sediment and rock.
