Schultz’s Lanternshark [Etmopterus schultzi]
Description
Schultz’s lanternshark is a deep-water species that’s most likely to be seen during technical dives or in areas with access to deeper habitats. Divers may observe it hovering or slowly swimming, with a low-contrast body pattern that becomes more apparent when its bioluminescent markings catch the light.
