Etmopterus fusus [Etmopterus fusus]
Description
Etmopterus fusus is a deep-water lanternshark that can be surprisingly easy to overlook until a beam of light reveals its subtle glow. Divers may encounter it as a slender, dark fish that seems to “appear” and “fade” with changing illumination, thanks to its light patterns.
