Aplidium brevisiphonis [Aplidium brevisiphonis]
Description
Aplidium brevisiphonis is usually encountered as a small colonial growth on rocks or other stable substrates. Divers often spot it by its encrusting form and the way it subtly changes the surface texture of the habitat. Up close, the colony can appear like a dense cluster of tiny openings, hinting at the living network beneath the surface.
