Aplidium acropodium [Aplidium acropodium]

Description

This species is usually seen as a colonial tunicate with a compact, attached growth form. Divers may find it on rocky bottoms where it blends into the substrate, but up close it reveals a distinct colony texture—an underwater reminder that even “still” surfaces can be alive with tiny filter-feeders.
