Eudendrium distichum [Eudendrium distichum]
Description
This hydroid is often recognized by its orderly, two-ranked (distichous) arrangement of branches, which can make the colony look more structured than many other hydroids. Divers may spot it as a neat fan or comb-like growth on rocks or other hard surfaces. The fine polyps along the branches add a subtle sparkle as they capture food in the water.
