Eudendrium bathyalis [Eudendrium bathyalis]
Description
Often found in deeper or cooler-water settings, Eudendrium bathyalis can appear as a fine, upright colony anchored to rock or other surfaces. Under a diver’s light, the colony’s delicate structure becomes more obvious, with small polyps giving it a textured, almost fuzzy look. It’s a great “micro-habitat” find for divers who enjoy slow, close-up searching.
