Eudendrium balei [Eudendrium balei]

Description

Divers may spot this species as a delicate, branching hydroid that forms small tufts or feathery clumps on hard substrates. Its thin stems and tiny polyps can look like a living lacework, especially when currents gently sway the colony. Up close, the polyps can appear as subtle bumps along the branches.
