Parazoanthus atlanticus [Parazoanthus atlanticus]
Description
Divers often spot this species as a low, encrusting colony that forms small patches on rocks and other hard substrates. When light hits the polyps, they can appear as tiny, closely packed openings that give the colony a textured, almost velvety look.
