Palythoa halidosis [Palythoa halidosis]
Description
This species is commonly observed as a low, spreading colony that clings to hard surfaces, forming a textured, sometimes patchy cover. Underwater, divers may see the polyps as tiny, closely spaced points that add a distinct “grainy” look to the reef, especially when the colony is actively feeding.
