Palythoa grandiflora [Palythoa grandiflora]
Description
As the name suggests, divers may notice relatively larger-looking polyps compared with some other encrusting palythoas. Colonies can form broad, carpet-like patches, and in good current the polyps can extend enough to give the colony a more conspicuous, “speckled” appearance.
