Palythoa denudata [Palythoa denudata]
Description
This species is often seen as a smooth-to-textured encrustation that spreads across hard surfaces. Depending on the lighting and water movement, the colony may look relatively uniform until polyps become more noticeable. Divers may spot small openings and subtle changes in texture as the polyps extend and retract.
