Oculina virgosa [Oculina virgosa]
Description
Divers may recognize Oculina virgosa by its pale, branching growth and the way it adds a textured, “fuzzy” look to the reefscape. With good visibility, you can often pick out the coral’s fine surface details and the small reef organisms that take advantage of its structure.
