Diffuse Ivory Bush Coral [Oculina diffusa]
Description
As its name suggests, this species grows in a more spread-out, diffuse form rather than tight clusters. Divers may spot it as a softer-looking, branching canopy that breaks up the seafloor and offers hiding places for small fish and invertebrates. Its pale coloration can blend beautifully with sandy or rocky backgrounds, especially in gentle currents.
