Pectinia elongata [Pectinia elongata]
Description
Pectinia elongata often presents as elongated, finger-like or lobe-like growth, creating a streamlined silhouette against the reef. Divers may see polyps extending from the coral’s surface, adding a lively, slightly “waving” look as currents move through. It’s a great species for close-up viewing because the fine structure becomes more apparent up close.
