Crispy Crust Coral [Merulina cylindrica]
Description
Merulina cylindrica is often seen as a crust that develops into small, rounded or tube-like bumps, creating a bumpy, clustered texture. Divers may notice how it subtly changes the look of the reef surface, and the tight structure can provide hiding spots for small reef animals.
