Sea Mat Zoanthid [Palythoa caribaeorum]
Description
This species forms vibrant, dense colonies in tropical and subtropical regions. It is highly adaptive, thriving in a variety of environments including seagrass beds, mangroves, and coral reefs. It has a flat oral disc with short tentacles, and varies in color from yellow to brown.
