Lesser Knob Coral [Cyphastrea salae]
Description
Cyphastrea salae is typically seen as a compact, knobby coral that grows in small patches on reef substrates. Divers may notice a textured surface with small polyp features that become more apparent as you change your angle to the colony. It’s a small-scale reef builder that adds complexity to the habitat—especially in crevices and sheltered areas.
