Lobed Cactus Coral [Lobophyllia hassi]
Description
Divers may recognize this species by its chunky, lobed form and the “cushion-like” look of its surface. Its lobes can appear tightly packed, creating a textured pattern that stands out in reef scenery. When conditions are right, the coral’s coloration and surface details become more vivid under shifting light.
