Lobophyllia agaricia [Lobophyllia agaricia]
Description
Lobophyllia agaricia grows as thick, plate-like or rounded colonies with a distinctive, brainy pattern of grooves and bumps. Divers are likely to notice the contrast between the raised ridges and the darker valleys, especially when polyps extend and the surface looks more alive and detailed.
