Hump Coral [Porites okinawensis]
Description
Hump Coral forms rounded, bumpy mounds that can look like small hills rising from the reef. Divers often notice its sturdy, compact texture and the way it creates sheltered microhabitats for tiny reef dwellers. In good light, the coral’s surface can show subtle color variations that make it stand out on the reef.
