Hump Coral [Porites nodifera]

Hump Coral
Description

Nodifera hump coral forms rounded, nodular mounds that can dominate a patch of reef with their knobbly texture. As divers swim by, the coral’s surface often reveals tiny variations in color and growth, and its rough structure provides hiding spots for small fish and invertebrates.
