Hump Coral [Porites harrisoni]
Description
Porites harrisoni forms dome-like or hump-shaped colonies that can blend into the reef’s overall “bumpy” texture. Under good light, divers may notice a fine, grainy look to the coral surface and gentle color variation across the colony. It’s a common sight on many Indo-Pacific reefs, where its sturdy form helps it persist in wave-exposed areas.
