Porites fontanesii [Porites fontanesii]

Description

This species typically appears as compact, rounded growths that can look like small boulders or knobby mounds. Divers may see a tight, bumpy surface texture that reflects light differently as you move around the colony. In many locations it’s a reliable reef-building coral, adding structure and shelter for small reef life.
