Hump Coral [Porites decasepta]

Hump Coral
Description

Divers often spot this coral as rounded, bumpy mounds that can form low hummocks on reefs. Up close, the surface looks like a mosaic of small, tightly packed corallites, giving it a subtly textured, “pebbled” appearance. In clear water, it can look especially crisp against sand or rock.
