Disc Coral [Turbinaria stellulata]
Description
Turbinaria stellulata is recognizable by its disc-like growth and the star-like patterning that can show on the colony’s surface. Divers may see small, raised features that catch the light and create a delicate, patterned look even from a short distance. As with other disc corals, it provides shelter and feeding opportunities for tiny reef organisms.
