Disc Coral [Turbinaria irregularis]

Disc Coral
Description

This species forms irregular, disc-shaped plates that can look subtly different from colony to colony. Divers may notice the uneven edges and textured ridges that give it a rugged, “layered” appearance. It’s a great example of how reef-building corals can create complex microhabitats for small reef life.
