Tree Coral [Dendrophyllia velata]
Description
Divers often spot this coral as a branching, tree-like structure that can form small clusters on rocky bottoms. Its surface may look textured and sturdy, and in good light you can sometimes see subtle color variation across the branches. It’s a great example of how reef life can look both rugged and delicate underwater.
