Dendrophyllia granosa [Dendrophyllia granosa]
Description
Divers often spot this coral as a branching or lumpy growth that forms small, textured patches on rocky or reefy bottoms. Its surface can look grainy or pebbled, and it may host tiny reef life in the surrounding microhabitats. In clear water, it’s a great example of how corals can look “busy” even when they’re not brightly colored.
