Leaf Coral [Pavona minor]
Description
Pavona minor often forms small, rounded or plate-like patches that blend naturally with the reef’s rocky backdrop. When divers hover nearby, they may spot subtle changes in the coral’s surface as polyps extend and retract, adding a living, breathing feel to what looks like a simple reef “carpet.”
