Porcelain Coral [Leptoseris solida]
Description
This species builds compact, encrusting colonies with a firm, sculpted look—more solid and blocky than some other porcelain corals. Divers may spot small surface patterns and tiny openings that hint at the living coral beneath. In clear water, the colony’s texture can appear almost glossy, making it a satisfying reef “find” during a slow swim.
