Pore Coral [Montipora digitata]
Description
Montipora digitata grows into finger-like or branching plates that can look like small, upright “digits” rising from the reef. Divers are drawn to its busy, porous texture, which creates a fine pattern of tiny openings across the coral’s surface. Depending on the site and lighting, it may appear in warm browns or muted greens, often surrounded by sponges and other reef life.
