Starflower Coral [Astreopora ocellata]
Description
This species is known for its starry, patterned surface that can include subtle eye-like spots, giving it a distinctive look. Divers may see it tucked into crevices or growing as small mounds where light reaches but currents remain gentle. At close range, the texture and tiny openings on the coral surface are especially interesting.
