Starflower Coral [Astreopora moretonensis]
Description
Divers often spot this coral as small, rounded star-like colonies with delicate, radiating textures. In clear water, its pale to cream tones can stand out against reef rock, and the surface can look almost “flowered” up close. Depending on the site, it may be partially shaded under ledges or exposed on reef slopes.
