False Flower Coral [Anacropora puertogalerae]
Description
This species is known for its branching, “flower-like” growth form that can look surprisingly delicate in the water. Divers may find it on reef slopes or near other coral colonies, where its shape helps it stand out as a small, living sculpture. In moving water, the colony’s fine branches can sway slightly, adding to the sense of motion on the reef.
