Net Coral [Alveopora fenestrata]

Net Coral
Description

This species gets attention for its distinctive fenestrated (window-like) look—an interlaced skeleton with many small openings. Underwater, divers may see it as a low mound or patch with a lacy, netted texture that contrasts nicely with smoother substrates. It’s a great example of how reef-building corals can create intricate architecture even in relatively small areas.
