Umbrella Corallimorpharian [Discosoma neglecta]
Description
Often seen as a soft, umbrella-like disc, this corallimorph can look like a living patch of velvet on the reef. Divers may notice its smooth, fleshy surface and subtle color tones that help it blend into the surrounding substrate. When conditions are right, it can expand noticeably, creating a striking, carpet-like presence.
