Actinothoe pellucida [Actinothoe pellucida]
Description
As its name suggests, this anemone can look somewhat translucent, with a delicate presence that blends into the surrounding environment. Divers may see it partially buried, with tentacles or a soft opening peeking from the sediment. In the right light and current, it can become more noticeable as it extends to capture food and then retracts when conditions change.
