Actinothoe lobata [Actinothoe lobata]
Description
Actinothoe lobata often presents as an anemone with lobed or fringed tentacle areas that look slightly “ruffled” up close. When divers approach, it may respond by adjusting how much it extends, making it feel surprisingly interactive. In good light, the tentacles’ arrangement can be especially striking against the substrate.
