Alcyonium paucilobulatum [Alcyonium paucilobulatum]
Description
This species typically shows up as a branching or lobed soft-coral colony, with a shape that can look like small, rounded projections. Underwater, it may seem to “breathe” with the flow as the colony flexes in passing currents. Divers often notice it best when it contrasts against bare rock or sand patches in the surrounding habitat.
